Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services at Winona State University in Winona, MN is seeking a reliable dishwasher to maintain dishes, pots, pans, and prep areas in a clean, sanitary condition.

The role supports daily kitchen operations with hand-washing, machine rinsing, silverware polishing, and adherence to safety and chemical standards. Both full‑time and part‑time schedules are available, with hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Prior dishwashing experience is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyors to the dishwashing machine, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Washes pots, pans, and trays according to assigned procedures, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Polishes silver using burnishing machines, tumblers, chemical dips, buffing wheels, and hand cloths, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Ensures compliance with outlined safety procedures.
• Maintains temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards.
• Keeps the dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards.
• Sweeps and mops kitchen floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food prep surfaces.
• Removes trash and places it in designated containers; steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Helps load and unload supplies and product.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Location and Schedule

Winona State University, 175 West Mark Street, Winona, MN 55987.

Schedule: Full time and part time schedules; Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, and Sunday through Friday, 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm. (More details upon interview.)

Requirement: Prior dishwashing experience is preferred, but not required.

Pay Range: $14.00 to $16.00 per hour.

Job Summary
