Job summary

The Kimpton Era is seeking a dedicated Dishwasher to support four distinctive concepts: Amasa, Bar Rocco, The Parlour, and The Jade Rabbit. You will efficiently clean dishes, utensils, pots, and pans, assist in maintaining a sanitary kitchen, and help with general cleaning and inventory management.

You will work with front and back-of-house teams to ensure smooth operations, comply with health and safety regulations, and be ready to take on extra tasks during peak hours or events.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a dishwasher role.
• Knowledge of dishwashing detergents, equipment, and maintenance.
• Understanding of health and safety standards.
• Willingness to perform occasional maintenance tasks and assist in kitchen duties as needed.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently wash, sanitize, and stack dishes, glassware, and utensils using industrial dishwashing equipment or by hand, including pots, pans, and other kitchen tools.
• Regularly clean and maintain dishwashing equipment, ensuring it operates effectively.
• Report any malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area by regularly removing trash and recycling, sweeping, and mopping floors, and wiping down surfaces.
• Support kitchen staff by ensuring that cleaning supplies are adequately stocked.
• Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, dishwashing detergents, and kitchen essentials. Inform management when supplies are running low to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines, including proper sanitation procedures, to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
• Follow safety protocols when handling kitchen equipment and cleaning chemicals.
• Work closely with other kitchen staff, servers, and management to maintain open communication and contribute to a positive work environment.
• Be willing to take on additional responsibilities or tasks as assigned by management to support the needs of the restaurant during peak hours or special events.
