Job summary

St. Martha Villa in Downingtown, PA is seeking a full-time dishwasher to keep our kitchen clean and well organized. You will wash tableware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment, maintain the dish room, and assist with sanitation standards to support a smooth dining service.

No prior restaurant experience is required. You must be able to work in a hot, wet, and loud environment and lift up to 60 pounds as needed. Benefits include vacation, PTO, health and dental insurance.

Responsibilities

• Load, run and unload dish machine.
• Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately.
• Monitor dish machine water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle.
• Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware.
• Keep dish room clean and organized.
• Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen.
• Bag and haul dish room trash to dumpster at designed times.
• Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
• Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.
• Clean food preparation and production areas as required.
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.

Welcome to St. Martha Villa! Our 135-bed facility, provides a warm and caring environment for our residents including memory care. Our team of seasoned staff work together to offer excellent service and care to each resident.

POSITION SUMMARY

As a dishwasher, you are responsible for the sanitation, organization, appearance and cleanliness of the entire kitchen. Wash and clean tableware, pots, pans and cooking equipment. Keep the dish room and equipment clean and organized.

• Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware.
• Keep dish room clean and organized.
• Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen.

QUALIFICATIONS

• No previous restaurant experience required.
• Be able to work in hot, wet, humid and loud environment for long periods of time.
• Be physically able to lift, reach, bend and stoop.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 6 hours).
• Be able to safely lift bags, cases and stacks weighing up to 60 pounds up to 30 times per shift.
