Job summary

MultiCare Health System is seeking a part-time Dishwasher for the Yakima area. The role focuses on maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the work area and equipment in collaboration with the Dietary Aide and Diet Clerk.

Key duties include loading/unloading the dishwasher with proper sanitization, scrubbing pots and pans, and ensuring the cafe kitchen remains tidy. Prior dishwashing experience and a Washington Food Handlers Card are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Previous dishwashing experience preferred.
• Washington State (DOH) Food Handlers card required.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload dishwasher using proper sanitization techniques to optimize equipment use.
• Scrub pots, pans and equipment not suitable for the dishwasher promptly.
• Clean and maintain equipment according to operating standards.
• Clean cafe grills, broilers, ovens and hoods as scheduled.
• Tidy and clean cafe and kitchen at all times.
• Keep adequate levels of supplies stocked for the next shift.

Position Summary

The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of work area and equipment in collaboration with the Dietary Aide and Diet Clerk.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes proper techniques to load and unload the dishwasher to ensure proper sanitization while optimizing efficient use of equipment
• Scrubs pots, pans and any other equipment that cannot go through the dishwasher in a timely fashion
• Cleans and maintains equipment according to proper operating standards
• Cleans cafe grills, broilers, ovens and hoods as scheduled
• Tidies and clean cafe and kitchen at all times
• Keeps adequate levels of supplies stocked in area so the next shift has needed items readily available

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• Previous dishwashing experience preferred
• Washington State (DOH) Food Handlers card required

Pay and Benefit Expectations

As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $19.37 - $26.16 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
