Dietary Utility Associate
Job Summary
Summit Healthcare is hiring a Dietary Utility Associate (full-time and part-time). This position involves maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment for the hospital cafeteria, working morning, day, and evening shifts.
Responsibilities
- Maintain order and cleanliness of the kitchen, dining room, and storeroom.
- Put away deliveries, label and date products, and break down boxes.
- Stock and monitor towels and soap dispensers throughout the shift.
- Clean and return all kitchen equipment and serving ware in a timely manner.
- Set up and maintain a 3-compartment sink and dish machine.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, and spot clean floors and high‑traffic areas.
- Monitor and empty trash cans.
- Adhere to the facility’s health and safety policies and procedures.
- Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently.
Qualifications
- At least 18 years old.
- Can communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.
- Practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and wear uniform.
Physical Requirements
- Capable of prolonged standing and walking continuously, pushing dish racks, frequent stooping, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job.
Preferred
- Culinary experience (cook, commercial kitchen, fast food, hotel operations, healthcare, dishwasher, housekeeping, janitor, custodian).
