Utility Person / Dishwasher Responsibilities

The Utility Person / Dishwasher is responsible for various duties that significantly impact the guests’ dining experience. Maintaining cleanliness is crucial, as it is a key factor in guest satisfaction and repeat business. The role involves ensuring the general cleanliness of both the interior and exterior of the restaurant, with a primary focus on dishwashing and sanitation.

Cleanliness

• Provides clean, sparkling silverware and dishes to guests.
• Cleans the interior of the restaurant to maintain a pleasant, safe environment for guests and staff.
• Maintains cleanliness around the outside of the building and parking lot.
• Checks, cleans, and stocks restrooms.
• Empties trash into the dumpster and maintains cleanliness of the dumpster, trash cans, and back dock area.
• Thoroughly cleans and organizes the utility area.
• Follows local health department laws and regulations.

Operational Excellence

• Stocks kitchen, line, and server areas with appropriate utensils and dishes.
• Maintains organization, speed, and cleanliness standards.
• Reports equipment and facility issues to the Manager.

Guest Service

• Adheres to position responsibilities to ensure just-in-time delivery of services.
