Job summary

The Oaks at Suwanee Creek is recruiting a compassionate dishwasher to support our residents in a foodservice setting. You will help maintain a clean kitchen, wash dishes, and assist with dining service under the direction of the Food Service Director and Lead Cook.

Ideal candidates are reliable, able to read and follow sanitation policies, and comfortable working in a team environment with seniors. This full-time role offers growth potential in a values‑driven, resident‑centered community.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Desire to work with older adults. Friendly, caring disposition.
• Must be 18 years of age. Must have a satisfactory criminal history check.
• Must have physical exam by a licensed physician. Must have a negative drug screen.
• Must be able to react in an emergency situation.

Responsibilities

• Washes and inspects all dishware and glassware.
• Stores clean utensils, dishes and glassware in proper places.
• Keeps dish washing machine and dish room in clean operating condition.
• Promptly reports any malfunctions or breakdowns of equipment to Food Service Director.
• Sweeps and mops kitchen area and waitstaff station and cleans filter over stove area.
• Delivers ice to dining room. May assist waitstaff with serving and bringing in dishes to kitchen, when necessary. May deliver meals to residents in their apartments, when necessary.

Position Summary

The Dishwasher will assist with the overall cleanliness of the kitchen including cleaning of dishes, kitchen equipment, and other items in the kitchen in accordance to federal and state regulations and the dietary program implemented by Oaks Senior Living policies and procedures. The Dishwasher will maintain clean and sanitized dining service areas and assist in the receiving, rotation, and storage of products.
