Job summary

Bayview is seeking a Food Services Waitstaff member in Seattle. The role supports dining operations, assists with service in the food services department, and adheres to safety and cleanliness standards under the supervision of the Executive Chef.

The position is full-time, with a 7:30AM - 3:30PM schedule and hourly compensation. Qualified applicants communicate effectively in English, follow safe food handling practices, hold a WA Food Handler permit, and demonstrate a patient, caring attitude

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate in English with residents, staff and managers.
• Familiarity with safe food handling practices and regulations.
• Holds current State of Washington Food Handler’s permit.
• Demonstrates patience, a genuine caring attitude toward the elderly and disabled persons, flexibility, a positive outlook.

Responsibilities

• The Dishwasher assists in maintaining the kitchen dishes, cups, glasses, flatware, cooking utensils, pots, pans, equipment, and work areas clean, orderly and sanitary.
• Cross-trained to perform duties in all three areas (washing dishes, washing pots and pans, cleaning work areas) and assist with other Food Service tasks as requested.

The Dishwasher assists in maintaining the kitchen dishes, cups, glasses, flatware, cooking utensils, pots, pans, equipment, and work areas clean, orderly and sanitary. Although the Dishwasher may be assigned to specialize in one of three areas (i.e., washing dishes, washing pots and pans, or cleaning work areas), you are expected to be cross-trained and available to perform the duties in all three areas as well as to assist as requested with other Food Service tasks.
