Job summary

Bayview is seeking a Food Services Waitstaff to join our Food Services team in Seattle. The role supports dining operations, serves residents and guests, and maintains a clean, orderly service area under the supervision of the Executive Chef.

The position is full-time, schedules from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM and pays $22.00 per hour, plus DOE, non-exempt. Experience with English communication and food handling is required; state permit preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate in English with residents, staff and managers.
• Familiarity with safe food handling practices and regulations.
• Holds current State of Washington Food Handler’s permit.
• Demonstrates patience, a genuine caring attitude toward the elderly and disabled persons, flexibility, a positive outlook, the ability to focus on the strengths of other people, and a healthy sense of humor.

Responsibilities

• The Dishwasher assists in maintaining the kitchen dishes, cups, glasses, flatware, cooking utensils, pots, pans, equipment, and work areas clean, orderly and sanitary. Although the Dishwasher may be assigned to specialize in one of three areas (i.e., washing dishes, washing pots and pans, or cleaning work areas), you are expected to be cross-trained and available to perform the duties in all three areas as well as to assist as requested with other Food Service tasks.
