Job summary

Bi-Rite Management Services, LLC in San Francisco seeks a Dishwasher to support our Catering and Commissary Kitchen operations. You will be responsible for washing, sanitizing, and stocking dishes, assisting with prep, and ensuring food safety standards are met to deliver an excellent guest experience.

Starting wage is $20.50 per hour with comprehensive benefits for staff working 20+ hours per week. Able to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial kitchen or food service recommended.
• Must obtain ServSafe Certification within 30 days post-hire.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift 11–50+ pounds.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Wash, sanitize, and store all dishes, utensils, and equipment.
• Assist with kitchen menu prep following Bi-Rite standards.
• Receive and stock inventory in refrigerated cases and backstock.
• Keep work areas neat, labeled, and well-stocked.
• Rotate inventory with proper labeling and safe handling of perishables.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation practices.

OPPORTUNITY

We have an immediate opening for aDishwasher. The Dishwasher is responsible for creating an inspiring culinary experience for our guests. They give outstanding service by meeting and exceeding our guests’ expectations and providing excellent internal service to the team. Their responsibilities include assisting in the smooth and seamless operations of all aspects of the catering and commissary kitchen, reaching company goals, upholding product quality and consistency standards, mitigating waste, maintaining equipment and facilities, and safely handling all of our products and equipment. They are part of a cohesive Bi-Rite team that supports the Bi-Rite Missions, Vision, and Community Values.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for washing, sanitizing, and putting away all dishes, kitchen utensils, and equipment.
• Assists with the preparation of kitchen menu offerings as needed, following recipes, cut specification, and packaging to Bi-Rite standards.
• Receives, organizes, and stocks all inventory in the refrigerated cases, backstock, and receiving areas.
• Keeps all working areas neat, clean, accurately labeled, and well-stocked.
• Puts away inventory, paying close attention to proper rotation, accurate labeling, while handling perishable items safely.
• Follows all food safety and sanitation practices.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen or food service recommended.
• ServSafe Certification, California Food Handler card is required within 30 days post-hire. Bi-Rite provides on-site training and certification.
• Continuous standing and carrying between 11-50+ pounds.
• Ability to work nights and weekends when needed.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
