Job summary

The Crowne Plaza Portland Downtown - Convention Center, part of Hollander Hospitality, is seeking a Dishwasher to join our kitchen team. You will operate the dish machine, remove and stage clean ware, and help keep the area clean and safe.

We offer a full-time position with a variable schedule, including weekends and holidays, and a pay range of $18.58–$20.33 per hour plus tips. Benefits include PTO, holiday pay, and staff travel discounts. A valid Food Handlers Permit is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous kitchen experience preferred, but not required.
• Must have a valid Food Handlers Permit.

Responsibilities

• Operate the dish machine and maintain cleanliness of kitchen.
• Assist with basic kitchen duties as needed.
• Maintain a sanitary and organized workstation at all times.

DISHWASHER

The Crowne Plaza Portland Downtown - Convention Center is seeking a Dishwasher to join our team. The Dishwasher is responsible for the dish machine operation and general kitchen cleaning.

SCHEDULE:

• Variable schedule; Must be available weekends and holidays

RATE OF PAY:

• $18.58 to $20.33 per hour/DOE plus tips!
• + 3% Culinary tips based on total sales (equivalent to approximately $2.50 per hour extra - depending on business levels and hours worked.)

Education and Experience:

• Ideal candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent and good communication skills. Previous kitchen experience preferred, but not required.

Licenses:

• Must have a valid Food Handlers Permit.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Medium Work: Ability to maintain standing position for long periods of time. Ability to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 35 lbs. and occasionally lift/move 50 lbs. Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
