Job summary

Firestone Walker Brewing Company in Paso Robles, CA is seeking a reliable Dishwasher to support busy kitchens with cleaning and sanitation duties. You will operate and maintain dishwashing equipment, stock clean wares, and assist with overall kitchen cleanliness during shifts.

The role emphasizes teamwork, physical stamina, weekend availability, and adherence to food safety standards. Training will cover responsibilities from washing to proper handling of tableware.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or higher, must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to obtain Food Handlers Card within new hire training period.
• Must be available to work weekends.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally with managers, kitchen, and dining room personnel at all times.
• Ability to be a strong team player and get along well with co-workers.
• Be physically able to lift, reach, bend, stoop, use hands to finger, handle, feel or cut with a knife and lift up to 40 pounds regularly.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours).

Responsibilities

• Wash and clean tableware, pots, pans and cooking equipment.
• Keep the dish room and equipment clean and organized.
• Load, run and unload dishwashing machine.
• Keep the dish washing machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately.
• Monitor dish washing machine water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle.
• Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware.
• Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen at all times.
• Bag and haul dish room trash to dumpster at designed times.
• Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
• Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.
• Clean food preparation and production areas as required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the Head Chef or manager-on-duty.
