Yona Eagle is seeking a Dishwasher to join our team. You will handle basic food preparation, wash dishes, and maintain kitchen sanitation in line with Health Department regulations. A friendly, communicative team member with stamina is essential.

Applicants should have proven dishwashing experience, good communication, and knowledge of sanitation guidelines. High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; certification in food services is a plus.

• Follows safety procedures and schedules for maintenance.
• Attends in-service education as assigned.

The Dishwasher will handle basic food preparation, washing dishes, pots and pans, equipment cleaning, kitchen sanitation in accordance with Traditions, Inc. and Health Department regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Receives, collects soiled dishes; washes dishes according to sanitary guidelines and rules;
• Cleans equipment as assigned by chef or cook;
• Help with basic food preparation under direction of chef or cook as directed, in compliance with Safe food handling;
• Maintains dishwashing areas and dishware storage areas in clean condition at all times in accordance with rules and regulations and as directed by chef;
• Cleans workspaces, cooking and serving equipment, trays, and dishes according to department procedures.
• Loads and unloads the dishwasher; stores clean equipment and dishes in designated areas.
• Uses food supplies and equipment in an efficient manner to prevent waste.
• Uses food preparation equipment properly and follows proper cleaning techniques and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Communicates with Chef or Cook throughout the shift as needed to best meet needs of the residents.
• Attends in-service education as assigned and applies information to job tasks.
• Complies with the Community's Confidentiality and Privacy practices and procedures related to resident and employee records and all state/federal privacy laws.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a dishwasher.
• Further experience in customer service will be appreciated
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines
• Friendly with good communication skills
• Good physical condition and stamina
• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in food services is a plus
