Yona is seeking a dedicated dishwasher to join our team, providing essential dishwashing, basic food prep under supervision, and maintaining clean kitchen areas. You will ensure sanitary guidelines are followed and work closely with chefs and cooks to meet residents' needs.

The role requires reliability, good communication, and physical stamina, with a tendency to support a friendly, resident-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a dishwasher.
• Customer service experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Friendly with good communication skills.
• Good physical condition and stamina.

Responsibilities

• Receives, collects soiled dishes; washes dishes according to sanitary guidelines and rules.
• Cleans equipment as assigned by chef or cook.
• Help with basic food preparation under direction of chef or cook, in compliance with Safe food handling.
• Maintains dishwashing areas and dishware storage areas in clean condition.
• Cleans workspaces, cooking and serving equipment, trays, and dishes per procedures.
• Loads and unloads the dishwasher; stores clean equipment and dishes in designated areas.
• Uses food supplies and equipment efficiently to prevent waste.
• Communicates with Chef or Cook throughout the shift.
• Attends in-service education and applies information to tasks.
• Complies with privacy practices and laws.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Receives, collects soiled dishes; washes dishes according to sanitary guidelines and rules;
• Cleans equipment as assigned by chef or cook;
• Help with basic food preparation under direction of chef or cook as directed, in compliance with Safe food handling;
• Maintains dishwashing areas and dishware storage areas in clean condition at all times in accordance with rules and regulations and as directed by chef;
• Cleans workspaces, cooking and serving equipment, trays, and dishes according to department procedures.
• Loads and unloads the dishwasher; stores clean equipment and dishes in designated areas.
• Uses food supplies and equipment in an efficient manner to prevent waste.
• Uses food preparation equipment properly and follows proper cleaning techniques and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Communicates with Chef or Cook throughout the shift as needed to best meet needs of the residents.
• Attends in-service education as assigned and applies information to job tasks.
• Complies with the Community's Confidentiality and Privacy practices and procedures related to resident and employee records and all state/federal privacy laws.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a dishwasher.
• Further experience in customer service will be appreciated
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines
• Friendly with good communication skills
• Good physical condition and stamina
• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in food services is a plus
