Job summary

Peregrine Senior Living in New York is seeking a part-time Dishwasher to support our dining program. Weekend availability is required, with pay $16.00-$16.50 per hour based on experience.

The role promotes a restaurant-style dining atmosphere, keeps the kitchen clean and sanitary, and follows infection control and safety procedures. Duties include washing and storing dishes and maintaining a neat dish area, with compassion for serving the elderly.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year working in food service industry preferred.
• Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service and promote a restaurant-style dining atmosphere
• Maintain kitchen in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition
• Strictly adhere to PSL procedures regarding infection control, foodborne illness prevention, harmful chemical handling, fire, safety, sanitization, promptly reporting any transgression to supervisor
• Wash and store all dishes and equipment in accordance with PSL policy and procedures
• Maintain dish room area in a neat, clean, and sanitary manner
