Job summary

DO & CO in New York seeks a motivated, detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our growing team. You will operate commercial dishwashing equipment, sanitize surfaces, and support daily food-service operations in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• At least one year of relevant or equivalent experience preferred.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
• Dependable, proactive, and well-organized.
• Works effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable standing and working on your feet for extended periods.
• Willing to work in environments with varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial equipment, including dishwashing machines, sanitizers, trash compactors, and glass crushers.
• Wash and sanitize worktables, walls, refrigerators, butcher blocks, and other food-preparation surfaces as assigned.
• Transfer supplies and equipment safely between storage and work areas while following proper lifting procedures.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and delivering supplies, equipment, and products.
• Sort, remove, and dispose of trash and waste in designated containers.
• Steam-clean or hose down garbage containers in assigned areas.
• Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary work areas throughout the shift.
• Follow all company sanitation, hygiene, food safety, and workplace safety requirements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
