Corner Table Restaurants' The Smith is seeking a diligent dishwasher to join our kitchen team. Maintain a clean dish area, load/unload items, and support the kitchen during service to ensure smooth operations.

This role offers a competitive hourly pay rate and a comprehensive benefits plan. Prior dishwashing experience is helpful but not required; reliability, teamwork, and a strong work ethic are highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the dishwashing area in a clean, safe workspace.
• Sort, rinse, and load dishes, glassware, utensils, and equipment.
• Ensure items are cleaned, sanitized, and stored properly.
• Wash pots and pans by hand as needed.
• Monitor and adjust dishwater and cleaning solutions for sanitation.
• Sort and return clean dishes to storage areas.
• Remove trash and recycling; keep waste areas organized.
• Clean sinks, floors, surrounding areas; maintain a safe environment.
• Support kitchen team with cleanliness during service and close.

THE POSITION: DISHWASHER

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain the dishwashing area as a clean, safe, and sanitary workspace at all times
• Sort, rinse, and load dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment into the dishwasher
• Ensure all items are properly cleaned, sanitized, and stored
• Wash pots, pans, and other items by hand as needed
• Monitor and change dishwater and cleaning solutions to maintain sanitation standards
• Sort and stack clean dishes and return them to appropriate storage areas
• Remove trash and recycling regularly, keeping waste areas clean and organized
• Clean and maintain sinks, floors, and surrounding areas, ensuring a safe (dry) work environment
• Support the kitchen team with cleanliness and organization throughout service and closing
