Job summary

HHS is seeking a friendly Dietary Utility Associate to join the Bon Secours St Francis Medical Center kitchen team. responsibilities include maintaining a clean, organized kitchen and dining area, sanitizing equipment, stocking, and supporting deliveries and inventory in a hospital cafeteria.

Full-time and part-time shifts are available, including day, evening, and night slots. Applicants must pass background checks and meet employment eligibility requirements in the U.S. EOE.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.
• Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform.

Responsibilities

• Maintain order and cleanliness of the kitchen, dining room, and storeroom.
• Put away deliveries, label and date products, and break down boxes.
• Stock and monitor towels and soap dispensers throughout the shift.
• Clean and return all kitchen equipment and serving ware in a timely manner.
• Set up and maintain a 3-compartment sink and dish machine.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, and spot clean floors and high-traffic areas.
• Monitor and empty trash cans.
• Adhere to the facility's health and safety policies and procedures.
• Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently.

Preferred: Culinary experience (cook, commercial kitchen, fast food, hotel operations, healthcare, dishwasher, housekeeping, janitor, custodian)

Physical Requirements

• Capable of prolonged standing and walking continuously, pushing dish racks, frequent stooping, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds
• Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job
