Job summary

HHS is seeking a friendly Dietary Utility Associate to join the hospital cafeteria at St Joseph Regional Medical Center. You will help maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment and support stocking and inventories to ensure smooth meal service.

Wage is $17.00/hour with part-time shifts; day, evening, and night options are available. A background check and drug screen are required, with proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • English communication and teamwork.
  • Good personal hygiene and neat appearance.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain order and cleanliness of the kitchen, dining room, and storeroom.
  • Stock deliveries, label and date products, and break down boxes.
  • Clean kitchen equipment and serving ware promptly.
  • Set up a 3-compartment sink and dish machine.
  • Vacuum, sweep, mop, and spot clean floors and high-traffic areas.
  • Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently

Job Description

We're looking for friendly, compassionate, team players to join our culinary team!

Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment for the hospital cafeteria. Sanitize all pots, pans, utensils, and equipment in a timely manner. Support stocking and inventories by shelving and organizing delivered food and items.

Responsibilities

Dietary Utility Associate

Wage: $17.00/hour

Part-time position available

Day/Evening/Night shifts available

Background check, drug screen, and proof of employment eligibility required

Location: St. Joseph Regional Medical Center

  • Maintain order and cleanliness of the kitchen, dining room, and storeroom
  • Put away deliveries, label and date products, and break down boxes
  • Stock and monitor towels and soap dispensers throughout the shift
  • Clean and return all kitchen equipment and serving ware in a timely manner
  • Set up and maintain a 3-compartment sink and dish machine
  • Vacuum, sweep, mop, and spot clean floors and high-traffic areas
  • Monitor and empty trash cans
  • Adhere to the facility's health and safety policies and procedures
  • Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment
  • Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform
Physical Requirements

Capable of prolonged standing and walking continuously, pushing dish racks, frequent stooping, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds

Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job

Preferred

Preferred: Culinary experience (cook, commercial kitchen, fast food, hotel operations, healthcare, dishwasher, housekeeping, janitor, custodian)
