Job summary

Massanutten Resort is seeking a Dishwasher to provide guests and staff with clean utensils, plates, glassware and kitchen equipment while maintaining a sanitary kitchen environment. Must be at least 16 and able to lift 25 pounds; willingness to learn about food prep.

The role requires adherence to safe food practices, clear communication, and may include varied shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Ability to maintain safe food practices including hand washing and use of safety equipment.
• Good communication skills.
• Previous dishwashing or kitchen experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure dishes are cleaned and sanitized and available as needed.
• Wash plates, glassware, silverware, pots/pans and kitchen utensils according to sanitation and cleaning procedures.
• Keep dish area clean by sweeping, mopping floors, wiping countertops, and emptying trash.
• Complete all assigned prep work.
• Set up dish machine in the AM and close down machine in the PM according to company procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Duties include ensuring overall cleanliness of kitchen and assisting with prep and general kitchen work while upholding safety and sanitation policies. Must be at least 16 years of age and able to lift at least 25 pounds and an ideal candidate is willing to learn more about kitchen and food prep.
