Job summary

Westmont Living in La Mesa, CA is seeking a friendly, reliable Dishwasher to support our Assisted Living and Memory Care teams. You will maintain cleanliness of dishes, cookware and dining areas while upholding safety and sanitation standards in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Cleanliness of dishes, cookware, utensils and kitchen equipment; maintain sanitary, safe handling practices.
• Transport and return dishes to the kitchen after meals and during service.
• Clear, wash, sanitize, and restock all dishes, glassware, and utensils; break down kitchen for cleanup.
• Respect and comply with sanitary and safety standards; complete health screenings as required.
• Criminal record clearance prior to first shift; TB/drug screening and basic first aid training as needed.
• SERV Safe certified (Food-hander's) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of major kitchen equipment and for washing, sanitizing, drying, and storing china, glass, silverware, pots, pans, and utensils.
• Transport all dishes to the kitchen following meal preparation and mealtimes.
• Properly clearing, washing, sanitizing, and restocking all dishes, silverware, and glassware.
• Properly washing pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils; returning dishes to storage areas.
• Break down the kitchen area for cleanup and ensure sanitary standards are met.

What we need from you:

• Ensure cleanliness of major kitchen equipment and for washing, sanitizing, drying, and storing china, glass, silverware, pots, pans, and utensils by:
• Transporting all dishes to the kitchen following meal preparation and mealtimes
• Properly clearing, washing, sanitizing, and restocking all dishes, silverware, and glassware
• Properly washing pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils
• Returning dishes and utensils to appropriate storage areas
• Breaking down kitchen for clean up
• Ensure all sanitary and safety standards are met
• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community
• Must pass all health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test
• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.
• SERV Safe certified (Food-hander's)
