Job summary

Nacho Daddy is hiring a part-time dish room attendant in Henderson, NV. You will ensure the dish room is sanitized and organized, serving as the safety and sanitation ambassador for back-of-house operations.

Responsibilities include opening/closing the dish room, stocking supplies, maintaining sanitizer levels, and supporting FIFO inventory. Must have a Food Handlers Safety Card and be capable of lifting up to 60 pounds and standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• Must have a current Food Handlers Safety Card or equivalent based on region.
• Fast-paced work environment requires speed and efficiency.
• Hospitality/dining experience preferred (6 months).
• Able to lift up to 60 pounds and stand for long hours.
• Clear communication with managers and kitchen staff.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the dish room.
• Manage trash and relining and hauling to dumpsters at designated times.
• Restock paper towels and soap.
• Maintain dish detergents and cleaning supplies.
• Keep sanitizer buckets and test sanitizer levels.
• Stock cook lines with cleaned dishes.
• Store clean dishes properly in storage areas.
• Handle tableware and dishes carefully to prevent breakage.
• Clean dishes before loading into the dish machine or 3-compartment sink.
• Operate the dish machine: loading/unloading and maintenance.
• Fill 3-compartment sink with soap, water, and sanitizer, checking levels.
• Keep dish room and BOH clean and organized.
• Sweep, mop, and wipe counters in BOH.
• Assist unloading and storing commissary deliveries.
• Ensure FIFO when putting stock away.
• Assist with portioning and labeling of items for prep.
• Be aware of safety and sanitation policies at all times.
• Maintain clean outside area.
• Test sanitizer level of machines.

Position Summary

Ensuring the dish room and all kitchen equipment is sanitized properly and organized efficiently. Being the safety & sanitation ambassador for the back of house.

Responsibilities

• Opening and closing the dish room.
• Checking trash cans, emptying, relining and hauling trash to dumpsters at designated times.
• Restocking paper towels and soap in the restaurant.
• Maintaining adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.
• Ensuring sanitizer buckets are placed at correct stations, changed every 2-4 hours and in accordance with health code – checking sanitizer solution before it goes in buckets.
• Stocking cook’s lines throughout the day and night with cleaned dishes.
• Storing clean dishes away in the correct storage area and on racks.
• Handling tableware and dishes carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
• Cleaning dishes of debris before putting them in the dish machine or 3 compartment sink.
• Loading, running, unloading, and maintaining a clean dish machine.
• Filling 3 compartment sink with soap, water, and sanitizer solution (checking chemical levels) and changing as needed.
• Ensuring clean and organized dish room and food preparation and production areas.
• Sweeping, mopping, and wiping down counters in BOH.
• Assisting with unloading and storing of commissary delivery items (Vegas Market).
• Assisting with putting the delivery stock away properly ensuring FIFO protocol is followed.
• Assisting with portioning of items for prep purposes.
• Knowledge of labeling and freshness dates.
• Being available to fill in as needed to ensure Being fully aware of safety and sanitation in accordance to Local Health Department and company policies.
• Maintaining a clean outside area.
• Knowing how to test the sanitizer level of the machine and 3 compartment sink.

Qualifications

• Must have a current Food Handlers Safety Card or equivalent based on region.
• Ability to perform quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment.
• 6 months of experience in hospitality/dining preferred.
• Able to lift, reach, bend, climb, and stoop. Ability to stand for at least 8 hours in hot, wet, humid and loud environments.
• Ability to safely lift bags, cases, and stacks weighing up to 60 pounds up to 30 times per shift.
• Must be able to communicate clearly with managers and kitchen personnel.
