Job summary

Izzy’s Fish & Oyster in Downtown Fort Myers is seeking a dedicated Dishwasher to keep the back-of-house running smoothly. This role supports a fast-paced kitchen and emphasizes cleanliness, teamwork, and reliability.

Training is provided; no prior experience required. You’ll work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends or holidays, with opportunities for extra shifts and meal discounts as part of our friendly restaurant group.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; training provided.
• Strong work ethic and team-first attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Reliable and punctual with good time management.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans quickly and thoroughly
• Maintain a clean and organized dish station throughout the shift
• Properly load, run, and empty commercial dish machines
• Restock clean items to their proper locations
• Take out trash and assist with kitchen cleanliness, including floors and surfaces
• Monitor dish area supplies (soap, sanitizer, drying racks, etc.) and restock as needed
• Assist with basic prep or kitchen tasks when requested by the chef or line cooks
• Follow all health and safety guidelines, including proper handling of chemicals and sanitation procedures
