Job summary

Hollywood Beach Marriott is seeking a dedicated Dishwasher to support our kitchen operations. You will collect used utensils, load and unload dishwashers, and wash items by hand as needed, ensuring cleanliness and proper storage of dishes and equipment.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, working in hot, damp environments, and maintaining sanitation standards with attention to detail. Weekend and evening shifts are expected, with opportunities to contribute to prep work and station setup.

Qualifications

• Prior dishwashing experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds several times daily.
• Experience with industrial washing machines.
• Attention to sanitation rules and details.
• Ability to work in hot and damp environments.

Responsibilities

• Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas
• Load and unload dish washing machines
• Wash specific items by hand (e.g. wooden cutting boards, large pots and delicate china)
• Store clean dishes, glasses and equipment appropriately
• Set up workstations before meal prep begins
• Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses and utensils, especially during peak hours
• Maintain cleaning supplies stock (e.g. detergents) and place orders when necessary
• Check washing machines’ operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues
• Remove garbage regularly
• Sanitize the kitchen area, including the floor
• Prep work
• Washing work areas, refrigerators, cooking equipment, walls and floors
• Assembling, maintaining and breaking down the dish machine
• Setting up and breaking down the cafeteria
• Assisting in putting deliveries away in the coolers and freezers
