Rivalries in Falmouth, ME is seeking a reliable Dishwasher to join our back-of-house team. Part-time or full-time hours are available, and you must be able to work nights and weekends.

No prior restaurant experience is required—we provide full training with a great attitude. As a core member of our kitchen crew, you will manage the dish pit, support the culinary team, wash and sanitize dishes, help with light prep, and assist with unloading deliveries.

Job description

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Dishwasher to join our back-of-house team! Part-time or full-time hours available, must be able to work nights and weekends. No prior restaurant experience required, we will fully train anyone with a great attitude and a willingness to learn!

As a core member of our kitchen crew, you will keep the restaurant running efficiently by managing the dish pit and supporting the culinary team. Your daily tasks will include:

Cleaning & Sanitizing: Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using both a commercial dishwashing machine and a 3-compartment manual sink.

Organization: Properly stack and return clean kitchenware, plates, and cooking utensils to their designated storage areas so the line cooks always have what they need.

Kitchen Maintenance: Sweep and mop kitchen floors, wipe down workstations, and keep the dish area organized and safe.

Waste Management: Empty kitchen trash cans and recycling bins into the proper outdoor receptacles.

Team Support: Assist with light food prep tasks (such as peeling vegetables) or unloading inventory deliveries during slower periods when needed.

Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and move around for long periods (8+ hour shifts) and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and possesses a strong work ethic.

Team Player: Ability to communicate politely and work well alongside line cooks, chefs, and front-of-house staff in a fast-paced environment.
