Pura Vida Miami is seeking a diligent dishwasher to support a fast-paced restaurant operation. You will clean and sanitize dishes, assist with stocking, and help maintain a tidy kitchen to ensure smooth service.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen dishwashing experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to operate industrial dishwashing machines and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations in a kitchen setting.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans using dishwashers or by hand.
• Ensure all items are cleaned and sanitized in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including floors, walls, and countertops.
• Handle and maintain dishwashing equipment; report malfunctions to Kitchen Manager.
• Replenish cleaning supplies and organize clean dishes for easy access.
• Assist in receiving deliveries and storing items properly.
• Cross-train across restaurant roles to support rapid growth in responsibilities.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a dishwasher in a restaurant or similar environment is preferred but not required.
• Must possess dexterity to operate industrial dishwashing machines, handle pots/pans, and other equipment, and perform tasks with attention to detail.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations in a kitchen setting.
• Must be familiar with the measurement system.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to bend and reach overhead often.
• Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
