Job summary

dnata Catering is seeking a dedicated dishwasher to keep dishes and airline equipment clean and sanitized using a conveyer dishwasher. You will follow HACCP guidelines, load and unload the machine, and ensure proper storage of clean wares in a fast-paced indoor setting.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to handle heavy workloads; shifts may include nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred with 2+ years’ experience in cleaning or custodial work.
• Experience with food service sanitation and HACCP guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Follow HACCP hygiene guidelines and work in compliance with safety rules.
• Load soiled chinaware and utensils into the dishwashing machine.
• Ensure machine operates at proper temperature and has detergents.
• Unload and store cleaned items in appropriate racks.
• Sanitize trolleys, oven racks, and drawers and return to storage.
• Perform other duties as assigned by unit Supervisors.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace.

Job description

As a Dishwasher for dnata Catering, your primary responsibility is to ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of all dishes, utensils, and airline equipment while using a conveyer dishwasher. Your role will involve operating commercial conveyer dishwashing machines, properly handling, and storing clean dishes, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Your attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace will contribute to the overall success and reputation of dnata Catering.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow established rules of entry to building and work areas, properly attired and in compliance with HACCP guidelines for personal hygiene and observe security precautions as mandated by management.
• Load dishwashing machine with soiled chinaware, trays, glasses, and silverware in appropriate carriers.
• Ensure that the dishwashing machine is operating at a proper temperature and has detergent and necessary chemicals for proper operation.
• Unload the machine and place cleaned items in appropriate racks or storage containers in proper storage areas.
• Sanitize all trolleys, carriers’ oven racks and drawers and deliver them to the proper area for storage.

• Other duties as assigned by unit Supervisors.

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or GED preferred with 2+years’ experience in cleaning, housekeeping, janitorial, or custodial experience

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Excellent attention to detail and self-organized
• Must meet all applicable state and local food handler certification requirements for the work location (Texas requires a Food Handler Certificate within 60 days of hire).
• Ability to deal with heavy workloads.
• Strong prioritization skills and the ability to perform multiple tasks.
• Flexibility (different shifts - night, weekends, holidays).

Intellectual/Social demands:

• While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is continuously asked to multi-task under time limits. Position requires constant attention to precise details and accuracy of specified standards, including following simple to complex (more than 3 steps) instructions, and concentration which frequently extends beyond 30 minutes at a time.
