Job summary

dnata Catering is seeking a Dishwasher to maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, utensils, and airline equipment using a conveyor dishwasher. You will handle and store dishes and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

This role requires attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and flexibility for night, weekend, and holiday shifts, contributing to the overall efficiency and reputation of the operation.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate conveyor dishwasher and ensure proper temperatures and chemicals.
• Load soiled chinaware, trays, glasses, and silverware in carriers.
• Unload and store cleaned items in racks and storage areas.
• Sanitize trolleys, oven racks, and drawers; deliver to storage areas.
• Follow HACCP guidelines and health and safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by unit Supervisors.

Job description

As a Dishwasher for dnata Catering, your primary responsibility is to ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of all dishes, utensils, and airline equipment while using a conveyer dishwasher. Your role will involve operating commercial conveyer dishwashing machines, properly handling, and storing clean dishes, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Your attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace will contribute to the overall success and reputation of dnata Catering.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow established rules of entry to building and work areas, properly attired and in compliance with HACCP guidelines for personal hygiene and observe security precautions as mandated by management.
• Load dishwashing machine with soiled chinaware, trays, glasses, and silverware in appropriate carriers.
• Ensure that the dishwashing machine is operating at a proper temperature and has detergent and necessary chemicals for proper operation.
• Unload the machine and place cleaned items in appropriate racks or storage containers in proper storage areas.
• Sanitize all trolleys, carriers’ oven racks and drawers and deliver them to the proper area for storage.

• Other duties as assigned by unit Supervisors.

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or GED preferred with 2+years’ experience in cleaning, housekeeping, janitorial, or custodial experience

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Excellent attention to detail and self-organized
• Must meet all applicable state and local food handler certification requirements for the work location (Texas requires a Food Handler Certificate within 60 days of hire).
• Ability to deal with heavy workloads.
• Strong prioritization skills and the ability to perform multiple tasks.
• Flexibility (different shifts - night, weekends, holidays).

Intellectual/Social demands:

• While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is continuously asked to multi-task under time limits.
