Job summary

The Longboard St. Thomas is seeking a high-energy dishwasher to maintain organization and cleanliness of the dish area and assist with BOH duties as needed.

You will support a vibrant, hospitality-driven team in a coastal Caribbean dining setting, bringing reliability, eagerness to learn, and a positive attitude to every shift.

Responsibilities

• Maintain organization, cleanliness, sanitation, and maintenance of the dishes and dish area.
• Wash, sanitize and organize small wares, dishes, glasses, and cooking supplies.
• Keep kitchen, dish station, and storage areas clean and well organized.
• Assist with opening/closing duties and general restaurant upkeep.
• Support delivery unloading and stock replenishment as needed.
• Contribute to a positive, energetic work environment and team culture.

The Longboard St. Thomas is the third iteration of the concept originally opened on St. John in the US Virgin Islands in 2015. Like its flagship, the STT location offers innovative and refined seafood-forward island fare, and a lively bar program featuring Caribbean-inspired craft cocktails. The laid-back lifestyles of St. Thomas and St. John mesh perfectly to create a relaxed, coastal vibe in a vibrant setting.

THE IDEAL MATCH

The dishwasher is responsible for the organization and cleanliness of the dish area and helps with additional BOH duties as needed. Our dishwashers support the team and help to create and maintain an exciting, inviting, and progressive environment. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Responsible for organization, cleanliness, sanitation, and maintenance of the dishes, dish area, and related machinery
• Run airtight operational systems to guarantee an immaculate, "A-Grade" health inspection environment.
• Wash, sanitize and organize small wares, dishes, glasses, silverware, and cooking supplies
• Keep the kitchen, dish station, and storage areas looking clean, clutter-free, and well organized
• Keep an eye on kitchen essentials, restock on the fly, and give management a heads-up before supplies run low.
• Assist with cleaning and maintenance of the restaurant; sweep and clean the floors.
• Keep the trash bins clean, sorted, and regularly cleared.
• Pitch in when delivery trucks arrive—unload, organize, and stock supplies where they need to go.
• Assist with proper opening and closing of the restaurant; perform related work as requested.
• Work with speed, efficiency, and pride in keeping things spotless.
• Keep the Chef and Manager on Duty in the loop on all things kitchen related.
• Be a culture builder—bring positive energy, authenticity, reliability, and pride in how you show up every day.
