Responsibilities

• Ensure sanitation standards in all food outlets meet or exceed Health Department and OSHA guidelines, including china, glassware, silverware, trash cans, dumpsters, and pots & pans.
• Store equipment, chemicals, and supplies properly, complying with departmental, company, and OSHA standards in dish and pot rooms, kitchens, mop rooms, and trash docks.
• Remove trash from outlets to refuge dumpsters.
• Stock and restock food line china and utensils before, during, and after restaurant hours.
• Clean dish sanitation equipment properly.
• Maintain valid WV racing license, Food Handlers permit, and TIPS certifications.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or 1-3 months of related experience/training, or equivalent education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, MSDS sheets, operation manuals, and safety instructions; effective communication in English.
• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Apply common sense to follow instructions in written, oral, or diagram form; differentiate patterns of china, glassware, and silverware.
• Frequently lift up to 25 pounds; push dish carts over 200 pounds; stand for long periods; vision abilities include close and distance vision.
• Exposure to wet, hot, humid conditions, vibration, temperatures from 0 to 110 degrees; may work in confined spaces; occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts; loud environment.
