$14.00/hr - $15.00/hr

Dishwasher - General Summary

The Dishwasher is the “heart of house” role responsible for keeping the kitchen clean and all dishwasher available for use. Responsible for operating the dishwasher machine, washing dishes, utensils, pots, pans and kitchen tools. Cleans area as instructed by the AKM or KM. Ensures that kitchen area is maintained clean and spotless. May also be asked to perform other kitchen duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or Assistant Kitchen Manager.

Dishwasher - Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Operates dishwashing machine
• Load, run and unload dish machine.
• Monitor dish machine water temperature and chemical levels to ensure sanitary wash cycle.
• Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems to the kitchen manager or MOD immediately.
• Stores all dishware, equipment and tools
• Ensures proper storage of dishware , utensils , pots , pans and other kitchen tools and must be organized properly following the instructions of the KM or AKM.
• Ensures that adequate levels of clean dishes and silverware are available for use by kitchen staff.
• Complete opening and closing check lists
• Checks in with opening manager for any specific side work or check list assignments.
• Closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist for kitchen stations. Assists others in closing the kitchen.
• Bag and haul kitchen trash to dumpster.
• Assists with prep and KM requests when needed
• Keeps dish area clean and organized
• Sweeps and mops the kitchen area during slow times and at the beginning and end of the shift.
• Ensures there is adequate supply of detergent, chemicals and rags to perform activities properly.
• Follows instructions by AKM or KM and routinely does deep cleaning of area.
  
  

Dishwasher - Qualifications

• Knowledgeable of using proper cleaning chemicals, detergent and equipment
• Operating dishwasher machine.
• Some knowledge of prep cook is preferred.
• Some knife skills, preferred.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work fast.
• Ability to stay on task.
  
  

DISHWASHER - PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to lift up to 60lbs
• Must be able to work standing on their feet for up to 8 hours
• Ability to bend, stoop and reach
• Work around cleaning chemicals
• Manual dexterity
• Must wear safety non-slip resistant shoes and steel closed shoes to avoid hazard of slips, falls and other accidents.
