Job summary

Village on the Park Onion Creek is seeking a dishwasher to support our dining services in an independent living and assisted living community in Austin. The role involves handling the dish machine, washing and storing tableware, and maintaining a clean kitchen environment.

Shifts include Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with required availability on weekends and holidays. Candidates must pass drug screening and background checks, and maintain high hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in hot, wet, humid, and loud environments.
• Ability to lift, reach, bend, and stoop; stand for long periods; safely lift bags, cases, up to 60 pounds up to 30 times per shift.
• Maintain exceptional hygiene and grooming habits.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Must be able to work holidays.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Load, run, and unload the dish machine efficiently.
• Keep the dish machine clean and report issues immediately.
• Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware for dining room and kitchen.
• Clean food prep and production areas as required.
• Perform general cleaning duties to maintain a sanitary environment.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by management to support kitchen operations.

Location: Village on the Park Onion Creek, an Independent Living and Assisted Living senior community

Shifts Available:

Monday - Friday | 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m

Must be available on weekends and holidays.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Load, run, and unload the dish machine efficiently.
• Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical issues immediately.
• Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware to ensure adequate levels of clean items for the dining room and kitchen.
• Clean food preparation and production areas as required.
• Perform general cleaning duties to maintain a clean and sanitary environment.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by management or leadership to support the smooth operation of the kitchen.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to work in hot, wet, humid, and loud environments for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, reach, bend, and stoop; work in a standing position for long periods; and safely lift bags, cases, and stacks weighing up to 60 pounds up to 30 times per shift.
• Maintain exceptional hygiene and grooming habits.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Must be able to work holidays.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
