Job summary

Black Bear Diner Vallejo is seeking a dishwasher responsible for cleanliness of all china, glass, silverware, pots and pans in the back of the kitchen and dumpster area. You must be punctual, wear the proper uniform (black slacks, Black Bear Diner Tee-shirt, hat and black Slip-proof restaurant shoes), and maintain a neat appearance at all times.

Responsibilities include sanitation of dishes, glassware and silverware; operation of the dishwashing machine; stocking kitchen line with plates, bowls

Qualifications

• Be punctual to begin your work.
• Wear proper uniform (black slacks, Black Bear Diner Tee-shirt, hat and black Slip-proof restaurant shoes).
• Maintain a neat appearance at all times; nails clean and trimmed.
• Responsible for the sanitation of all dishes, glassware and silverware.
• Cleanliness of the dishwashing machine.
• Maintain dish machine chemicals and sanitation fluids.
• Wash pots and pans following proper procedures.
• Organize the dish room.
• Re-stock kitchen line with plates, bowls and cups.
• Re-stock servers area with glassware and silverware.
• Clean kitchen floors, freezer and refrigerators.
• Clean cooking and baking equipment.
• Back areas, dumpster area, trash containers.
• Clean guest restrooms and parking lot.
• Report chemical shortages to keep inventory updated.
• Report breakage of dishes.
• Take out garbage as scheduled; punch in/out on time.
• Overtime may be required.
• Complete other tasks as designated by management.

Responsibilities
