Job summary

AdventHealth in DeLand, FL is seeking a dedicated kitchen support role to clean and sanitize dishes, deliver patient trays, and transport meal carts while maintaining strict safety and confidentiality standards.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, flatware, utensils, pots, pans and kitchen equipment per safety standards
• Scrape and presoaking items and prepare for washing
• Deliver patient trays and late trays accurately and on time following ID policies
• Transport patient meal carts and nourishment carts to nursing units and keep carts clean
• Restock serviceware and monitor sanitation logs, chemical usage and equipment performance

Job Description:

Clean and sanitize dishes, flatware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using proper techniques and chemical concentrations to meet safety and sanitation standards. Prepare items for washing by scraping and presoaking, ensuring all visible soil is removed before running through the dish machine for effective sanitization. Deliver patient trays and late trays accurately and on time, following identification protocols and confidentiality policies. Transport patient meal carts and bulk nourishment carts to and from nursing units, maintaining cleanliness of all carts and equipment. Restock clean serviceware to designated locations using correct handling procedures, and monitor dishroom sanitation logs, chemical usage, and equipment performance to ensure compliance. Other duties as assigned.
