Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in food service operations and supervising staff.
• Knowledge of sanitation methods and safety practices in food service.
• Ability to supervise, train, and assign tasks to staff.
• ServSafe or equivalent food handler certification required within six months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Directs the operation of a dish room and supervises dish room personnel.
• Provide training for new employees; perform related cleaning tasks.
• Supervise cleaning of tableware, utensils and equipment; maintain cleaning equipment in good order.
• Ensure removal of remnant food and supervise hand washing or dishwasher processing.
• Oversee washing and scrubbing of pots, pans, and trays; sanitation of storage areas.
• Manage loading/unloading of supplies; maintain adequate stock of utensils and dinnerware.
• Oversee trash removal and sanitation of garbage containers and bins.
