Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking a Dishroom Clerk to keep the dishwashing area and kitchen equipment clean and organized, enabling the team to deliver high-quality meals. This hourly role emphasizes safety, sanitation, and teamwork in a busy market grille setting.

You will work with colleagues to maintain cleanliness, support food safety, and ensure swift service for customers throughout shifts. Prior experience is helpful, but commitment to learning and a positive attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• No education requirement; six months or less of similar or related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile and making every interaction a positive one.
• Wash department equipment, utensils, dishes, pots, and pans thoroughly and consistently.
• Handle food safely and ensure the work area is always clean and neat.
• Remove trash in a timely manner and take department garbage to the compactor or designated area.
• Answer the telephone promptly and provide friendly, helpful service to customers who call.
• Work with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
• Assist in other areas of the store as needed and take on special projects as assigned.
• Maintain strict adherence to personal hygiene, dress standards, and all Hy-Vee policies and store guidelines.
• Report to work when scheduled and on time.
