Qualifications

• No education requirement; six months or less of similar or related work experience preferred.
• Ability to stand/walk frequently in a kitchen environment.
• Attention to personal hygiene and dress standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile and making every interaction a positive one
• Wash department equipment, utensils, dishes, pots, and pans thoroughly and consistently
• Handle food safely and ensure the work area is always clean and neat
• Remove trash and manage department garbage to the compactor or designated area
• Answer the telephone promptly and provide friendly, helpful service to customers
• Work with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
• Assist in other areas of the store as needed and take on special projects as assigned
• Maintain adherence to Hy-Vee policies and store guidelines
• Report to work when scheduled and on time
