Job summary

Orlando Health's Orlando Regional Medical Center in Downtown Orlando (ORMC Food Production) is seeking a Dishroom Attendant to support our kitchen by loading and unloading the dish machine, hand-washing pots, pans and utensils, and assisting staff as needed.

This on-site role emphasizes cleanliness, sanitation, and adherence to safety standards. No prior experience is required as on-the-job training is provided, with opportunities to grow within our healthcare system.

Qualifications

• Education/Training: ability to read and recognize similarities and differences between words and numbers; capable of writing simple correspondence and responding to inquiries or complaints.

Responsibilities

• Remove waste and dispose of it properly; empty and clean garbage receptacles.
• Clean serving carts and the dishroom, including sweeping, mopping, washing walls, floors, and floor mats.
• Stock all dishware and glassware after cleaning.
• Perform closing duties as per established standards.
• Adhere to MSDS standards, safety protocols, sanitation, infection control procedures, and HACCP guidelines.
• Communicate relevant information about customer and department needs to management and team members.

Position Summary:

As a Dishroom Attendant, you will play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen operations. Your responsibilities include loading and emptying the dish machine, hand-washing pots, pans, cooking utensils, and equipment, and assisting the kitchen staff as needed.
