Job summary

Wabash Steel Supply is seeking a part-time Dishwasher to support the Hospitality division. The role focuses on washing dishes with an automatic machine, ensuring plates are cleaned, sanitized, and restocked for kitchen use during operating hours.

The position requires evening availability (4PM–12AM, Tuesday through Saturday when needed) with Sundays and Mondays closed. Reports to the General Manager and adheres to health code standards and 5S lean principles.

Qualifications

• Previous experience is preferred but not required.
• Lifts up to 50 pounds.
• Evening availability required (4PM–12AM, Tue–Sat).

Responsibilities

• Washes pots and pans using an automatic machine.
• Ensures dishes and glasses are put away after use.
• Keeps kitchen utensils clean and sanitized at night.
• Maintains health code compliance through sanitation.
• Regular and timely attendance is expected.
• Follows 5S lean practices in daily tasks.

Position: Dishwasher

POSITION SUMMARY: The dishwasher will be responsible for washing dishes with automatic machine during high volume. They must ensure the plates are cleaned, sanitized and restocked for the kitchen use during operating hours. They will also be responsible for cleaning all kitchen utensils at the end of the night to ensure we meet health code requirements. Part time position – must be able to work evenings 4PM to 12AM Tuesday through Saturday when required. Closed Sunday and Monday.

REPORTS TO: General Manager

SUPERVISES: N/A

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Attention to detail
• Perform duties in a fast-paced environment
• Washing pots and pans
• Putting away all dishes and glasses
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the Chef or General Manager
• Regular and timely attendance are an expectation of the position
• Follow the 5S foundations for deploying lean production tools and processes

Requirements

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Previous experience is preferred but not required
