Job summary

Matty's Sporthouse Grill is seeking a Dishwasher to supply clean dishware and utensils for the dining room and to clean all cookware for kitchen staff. You will help maintain sanitation, follow safety rules, and support the team with proper equipment handling.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and prior experience is preferred. You should be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous kitchen/restaurant experience preferred.
• Knowledge of sanitary and safety practices.
• Good verbal and written communication.
• Ability to lift and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provides clean dishware, utensils and glassware for dining areas.
• Ensures clean pots, pans and serving utensils for kitchen staff.
• Cleans work areas and equipment used in food prep.
• Follows safety and sanitation rules and practices.
• Maintains sanitation of dish machine, tables, walls and floors.
• Breaks down and re-assembles the dish machine for cleaning.
• Empties trash as needed.
• Maintains a sanitary workstation with CLEAN AS YOU GO.
• Works safely with chemicals and equipment.
• All other duties as assigned.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Dishwasher ensures a proper supply of clean dishware, utensils, and glassware for the dining room and cleans all cooking utensils, pots, and pans for the kitchen staff.

The ideal candidate for this position has a high school diploma or high school equivalency diploma and previous experience is preferred. He or she must be committed to the customers, reliable to his or her co-workers, and be a self-motivated, organized, and detailed individual.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures a proper supply of clean dishware, utensils, and glassware to stock the dining areas and set tables


• Ensures a proper supply of clean pots, pans, and cooking/serving utensils are available for kitchen staff


• Cleans work areas and all equipment used in food preparation


• Follows safety and sanitation rules and practices


• Maintains the dish machine, tables, walls and floors to their highest level of sanitation


• Breaks down and re-assembles the dish machine as needed for cleaning


• Emties trash as needed


• Maintains a sanitary workstation using a CLEAN AS YOU GO attitude, including mopping floors and surrounding areas


• Ability to work safely with chemicals and equipment


• All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or high school equivalency diploma preferred


• Previous experience preferred


• Knowledge of general sanitary and safety practices


• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written


• Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed


• Able to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
