AdventHealth in Zephyrhills, Florida, is seeking a full-time Kitchen Steward/Dishwasher to support safe, efficient food service operations. The role covers dishwashing, sanitation, and patient meal support within a hospital kitchen environment.

Responsibilities include prepping items for washing, delivering trays, restocking serviceware, and upholding safety and cleanliness standards. HS diploma preferred; Food Handler Certificate preferred or state-required; background screening per Florida law.

• Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights.

• Restock serviceware at designated locations and monitor sanitation logs and chemical usage.

Job Description:

• Clean and sanitize dishes, flatware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using proper techniques and chemical concentrations to meet safety and sanitation standards.
• Prepare items for washing by scraping and presoaking, ensuring all visible soil is removed before running through the dish machine for effective sanitization.
• Deliver patient trays and late trays accurately and on time, following identification protocols and confidentiality policies.
• Transport patient meal carts and bulk nourishment carts to and from nursing units, maintaining cleanliness of all carts and equipment.
• Restock clean serviceware to designated locations using correct handling procedures, and monitor dishroom sanitation logs, chemical usage, and equipment performance to ensure compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education:

• High School Grad or Equiv [Preferred]

Additional Information:

• Food Safety Handler Certificate preferred or as required by state
