Job summary

Firebirds Wood Fired Grill in Columbus, OH is seeking a Dish Machine Operator to keep the back-of-house dish and sanitation area clean, safe, and well organized so the kitchen runs smoothly. You will support the kitchen team, operate the dish machine, maintain water temps and chemical levels, sanitize and stock wares, and help with opening/closing tasks.

• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail.

• Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized dish and sanitation area.
• Operate the dish machine efficiently while maintaining proper water temperatures and chemical levels.
• Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes following food safety standards.
• Stack and rinse dishware for optimal cleaning results.
• Drain, clean, and refill dish tanks throughout the shift to maintain standards.
• Restock clean wares to proper locations to support kitchen flow.
• Remove trash, break down boxes, and maintain clean disposal areas.
• Maintain dumpster area cleanliness and sanitation.
• Complete prep tasks and support kitchen team members as needed.
• Follow all opening, closing, and cleaning checklists.
• Keep your station clean, organized, and ready for service at all times.
• Work as part of a fast-paced, team-driven kitchen environment.
