Shield AI is seeking a highly qualified engineer to join the Discrete Planning Group within the Autonomy Team for Hivemind Enterprise Product. You will architect and implement state-of-the-art algorithms for task allocation, scheduling, and motion planning across heterogeneous autonomous vehicles, while shaping the software architecture and mentoring peers.

Ideal candidates have a PhD in Optimization or Operations Research (or a Master’s with 4+ years of relevant experience) and deep expertise

Qualifications

• PhD in Optimization/OR or Master’s with 4+ years in the field.
• Expert in MILP, constraint programming, convex optimization, MOOP.
• Experience in C++ with gdb in a multi-threaded environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop state-of-the-art algorithms for task allocation and scheduling of autonomous vehicles.
• Solidify and improve C++ mission planning software across platforms.
• Define a technical roadmap with engineers, PMs, and product managers.
