Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Electrical Engineer focused on discrete actives and passives to support technologist teams and advise on part selection at Crane, IN. Travel 25-50% is required, with a Secret Clearance eligibility.

The role involves life-cycle support and collaboration across government and industry partners. Minimum qualifications include a STEM degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, familiarity with IEEE parts, and strong reporting and Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in STEM and at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Discrete actives and passives component engineering experience with focus on IEEE parts.
• Ability to communicate ideas to customers, program office, colleagues, and contractors.
• Understanding of MIL-STD standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide discrete actives and passives component engineering support and write technical reports.
• Advise military programs and designers on part selection.
• Troubleshoot discrete actives and passives component issues and propose solutions.
• Demonstrate knowledge of electrical test methods and radiation effects, failure analysis tools, and material analysis techniques.
• Interface with program offices, prime contractors, designers, parts manufacturers, test labs, and other government agencies.
• Develop and review test plan documentation.
• Provide life-cycle support of strategic systems.
• Travel 25-50% of the time.
