Job summary

Actalent in Worcester, MA is seeking a Scientist II to advance discovery programs focused on antibody leads. You will design and execute in vitro, cellular, and in vivo–supporting assays to enable lead identification and optimization and prepare data packages for proof-of-concept decisions.

The role requires strong experience with ELISA, flow cytometry, high-throughput screening, and cell culture, plus excellent communication and collaboration across disciplines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related science.
  • 3–5 years of lab experience or a Master’s degree.
  • Experience with ELISA and flow cytometry for antibody characterization.
  • Strong data analysis and data presentation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-throughput screening and characterization of antibodies.
  • Develop ELISA and flow cytometry assays for lead optimization.
  • Analyze data and summarize findings in reports.
  • Maintain lab records and ensure proper documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance programs.
  • Operate and maintain instruments and automation platforms.
