The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support discharge lounge operations and patient throughput. You will coordinate patient movement with inpatient units, transport, and pharmacy to minimize delays and optimize hospital capacity.

Minimum education includes a high school diploma or equivalent; multiple pathways such as nursing school enrollment or CNA/CMA certification are also accepted to meet the requirements.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or equivalent required for PCT I.
• PCT II requires HS diploma/equivalent and one of the listed options.
• Active enrollment in nursing or healthcare-related field is acceptable.
• Current CNA or CMA certification is acceptable.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate movement of discharged patients into the Discharge Lounge.
• Collaborate with inpatient units, transport services, pharmacy, and other departments.
• Help reduce discharge delays and optimize hospital capacity.
