Job summary

ServiceMaster Restore® – Water, Fire & Disaster Recovery is hiring a Restoration Technician to perform mitigation and restoration for residential and commercial properties. The role requires hands‑on work, adherence to safety standards, and strong customer communication during loss events.

Ideal candidates have experience in restoration or skilled trades; IICRC certifications preferred or willingness to obtain. On‑call availability and ability to lift 50+ lbs are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in restoration, mitigation, construction, or skilled trades preferred.
• Knowledge of water damage restoration or fire damage cleanup a plus.
• IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, FSRT) preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Perform water extraction, structural drying, fire and smoke mitigation.
• Set up, monitor, and remove restoration equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers).
• Perform controlled demolition and removal of damaged materials.
• Clean, sanitize, and restore structural materials and contents.
• Take moisture readings using meters and thermal imaging tools.
• Document job progress with photos and mobile job management software.
• Maintain safe, organized, and professional job sites.
• Communicate clearly with customers, adjusters, and team members.
• Follow OSHA safety standards, PPE requirements, and company procedures.
• Participate in on‑call rotation for emergency response services.
