Job summary

BMS CAT & Blackmon Mooring in Smyrna, GA is seeking individuals to perform smoke, fire, and water restoration cleanup. We will train!

You will support day-to-day remediation operations, performing detailed cleaning, sanitation, and site preparation on residential, commercial, and industrial projects, following safety and quality standards. This role emphasizes physical labor, adherence to PPE, and teamwork.

• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting 50+ lbs., bending, climbing ladders, and working in tight or high risk environments.

• Comfortable wearing PPE (respirators, Tyvek suits, gloves, etc.) and safety focused.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends depending on job demand.
• Reliable transportation, punctual, and consistent attendance.
• Strong customer service skills, professional attitude and demeanor when representing BMS on job sites.
• Experience in moving furniture, files, warehouse delivery or large item delivery (preferred)
• Forklift experience and certification (preferred)
• Valid Driver's License with good driving record (preferred)
• Prior cleaning, janitorial, remediation, or construction experience (preferred—not required)—we will train the right candidate
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed cleaning, wiping, HEPA vacuuming, and debris removal in remediation work zones.
• Assist with setting up and maintaining containment barriers, negative air machines, HEPA scrubbers, and dehumidifiers.
• Conduct pre-clean and post-clean sanitation in accordance with IICRC and company standards.
• Safely handle and dispose of contaminated materials following environmental and regulatory guidelines.
• Load-in/load-out of equipment, tools, and materials.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, vehicles, and equipment to ensure a professional and safe environment.
• Follow all PPE requirements, safety protocols, and job-specific instructions provided by supervisors or project managers.
• Document daily work activities, including before/after photos, material usage, and equipment tracking.
• Assist with odor removal, surface decontamination, and antimicrobial application as needed.
• Uphold professionalism when interacting with customers, property owners, and onsite personnel.
