BMS CAT in Jessup, MD seeks a Project Director to estimate mitigation and construction work on fire, water, flood, mold losses across residential and commercial properties, partnering with insurers, adjusters, and managers to ensure accurate scopes and profitable execution.

This role blends technical estimating with proactive business development, building a referral pipeline through networking and marketing support, attending industry events, and driving revenue growth while maintaining

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on estimating experience with commercial losses.
• Ability to respond to emergency situations including nights and weekends.
• Xactimate proficiency with time & material estimating preferred.
• Strong understanding of mitigation processes, documentation, and insurance expectations.
• Proven ability to build B2B relationships and generate repeat referral business.
• Sales mindset with pipeline management and growth focus.
• Comfort supporting marketing efforts and client meetings.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer emergencies with urgency, professionalism, and ownership.
• Prepare accurate, competitive estimates from site inspections using industry software.
• Collaborate with operations for smooth handoffs, starts, scope alignment, and supplements.
• Provide customers with daily updates and ensure timely payments with insurers.
• Build and maintain long-term referral relationships with adjusters, brokers, and managers.
• Communicate clearly, respond quickly, and solve problems proactively.
• Drive new business through networking and strengthening the referral pipeline.
• Attend industry events to create visibility and opportunities.
• Support marketing presentations, lunch-and-learns, and capability meetings.
• Focus on revenue growth, customer experience, and profit performance.
