Job summary

BMS CAT & Blackmon Mooring seeks an experienced estimator to prepare construction rebuild estimates and market to potential clients, including adjusters and end users. Previous restoration experience and Xactimate software expertise are required.

Responsibilities include networking with subcontractors, reviewing scope, obtaining approvals, coordinating with operations, and ensuring payments. Growth opportunities and comprehensive benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Xactimate estimating software.
• Knowledge of production and processing.; experience with raw materials and costs.
• Knowledge of building and construction methods.
• Ability to read project specifications, plans, and blueprints.
• Knowledge of design techniques, principles and tools.
• Knowledge of promoting and selling services.
• Ability to monitor processes and materials.

Responsibilities

• Markets to potential customers, including national accounts, adjusters, end users.
• Establishes a network and vets qualified subcontractors for trades.
• Calls on prospects to provide an estimate for rebuild after a loss.
• Reviews project scope and prepares the estimate.
• Reviews estimate with insurance representatives and customer; obtains approvals.
• Maintains communication and coordinates the work schedule with operations.
• Informs local management of issues arising during work.
• Ensures quality issues are resolved and proper payment protocol is followed.
• Follows up with the insurance company/customer until payments are received.
• Prepares status reports on activity, closings, follow-up, and feedback.
